I just wonder if any of these fans have watched the reserves over the last couple of seasons ? Where did Jacob Davis come from ? Maybe you should go & watch them, Sam Taylor, Carl Airey, Lewis Plackett, James Quiqley, Young Connerton & a few more would not let 1st team down given a chance, if they are not given a chance you may as well scrap reserves & save a lot of money .

Think Akrigg and Winder came from Slyne and Jacob Davis from Caton. I think that's where Callum Connerton is playing too. If they are good enough, put them in, I've no argument with that. But if we are struggling near the relegation zone by Christmas, would you take the risk ? I take immense pride seeing Lancaster born players play for their home town team, that's why it is so frustrating seeing Connerton, Kilifin and Bailey to name a few playing for friggin Kendal.

Frustration, frustration and more frustration. It's understandable of course and releasing it in the form of criticism is fine as long as it is constructive. There are a lot of people around this club on both the playing and infrastructure sides putting in a lot of hours to try and build a club that can move forward, at the moment it is difficult but we believe it is possible, off the pitch we have come a very long way in the past 2 seasons. It is pertinent to remember that the current Directors inherited a club who's infrastructure had basically been neglected for over 10 years, putting that right takes time and money and if you don't put it right at some point the League will make it an issue which could threaten the Club's future.
Without a sound Club there would be no football for the Reserves, the First team or the Ladies to play and whilst it is frustrating that the flagship - ie. the First team - is struggling, and undoubtedly lack of funding is playing a large part in that, the last thing we need is negativity. I go to watch all 3 teams when I can and I would love nothing more than for all 3 to be doing well, the Ladies are doing the Club proud and the Reserves are well worth a watch, there are some promising lads in there, how many will make the huge step up to first team level who knows?
I would like to think that we are all in this together, it is clear there is a lot of passion out there for the Club but let's not expend our energies on negativity,
sometimes it's hard to believe but remember this club has been on the ropes before and turned the corner - roll on 19.45 tonight, let's take our frustrations on Farsley - see you there.

All three, Akrigg, winder & Jacob Davis yes came from other clubs but they went into reserves 1st under George & Riggers before going into the 1st team . Unless the reserves are used properly City will lose more good players .

Another cracking post distantmusic.
From what I've seen the guys behind the club - Chairman, Vice Chairman, Other directors, club officials, and the volunteers are all trying to help this club turn around, and I for one think they are all doing a great job.
Your right of course, it is very frustrating for us the fans but at least the club appears to be doing the right things to address the recent poor performances and tidy up the Giant Axe's appearance !

Agreed, everybody is pulling in the same direction, but with limited finances stop bringing loan players in from here there & everywhere, most of them do'nt want to be there they are just told to go by there parent club, give the young lads a chance first, not 5 or 6 at once just one or two, they have proved they want to be at city by travelling to Workington on a Monday for NO financial reward, come on let's get back to being one club not 2 separate teams, train together not separately get to see who's worth a chance & give them something to aim for .

Someone in before the game at the weekend? Why timescales given?

I think getting someone in for weekend is optimistic, time needs to be taken to get the right manager who will get the football side right, both 1st team & reserves working together not as two separate teams as is the case now. A rush decision could be a big mistake & it needs to be right even if it takes a while.

You have to let this go Dicko. You're sounding very bitter.
