That's astonishing news Bill for a club that is trying to make money and for someone like me, and others, who buy a season ticket. Have these so-called family members any proof of who they are ? They should pay something or we could all walk up to the gate and say so and so has left me a ticket. I.E Mr Semple.

Players have always been allowed tickets (2 per player I think) A list is always on the gate,This happens at most clubs but it's been a bit of a sore point with me for many years now,we could even go as far as limiting the number of away passes I know officials from all clubs get league passes but there is a league limit of how many people from each club are allowed in for free.I Rember going to a away game when I was the Kitman and a director from the club we were playing stood and counted every one going into the ground and once the official number of players/directors was reached he refused entry to any one else unless they paid,Abit over the top but he made his point.

On the subject of free tickets for players, I know of at least 3 clubs in the league where players families have to pay at least half price,

On attendances - half of Lancaster don't even know there is a football club in the city let alone when the club plays.. maybe more advertisement on LCFC fixtures could draw a few more people in. Alot of people that live in Lancaster go to watch Morecambe i cant be the only person that lives in Morecambe and comes to watch the dollys there used to be a sign on greyhound bridge with the next LCFC fixture on it if some one is passing and they see it they might just think ''oh i might go watch that game' .......just trying to think of ideas to attract fans anyone else got any ideas?

I suggested going into schools & giving u16s free tickets that can only be used with a paying adult or the university offering students a reduced rate.

Brilliant idea can we get that authorized from someone at the club? can someone go round schools & uni? i can on Mondays as its my day off so if anyone can give me tickets to do so im here...i will also stand in the city center on match day and hand out flyers with fixtures on it or something just trying to think outside the box a city as ours should attract more fans than it does what about places like hornby caton carnforth even morecambe we should try to advertise in these places as the only people that are going to know when a home match is will be the people that drive down west road and not many people do!

As a club we've tried the school angle tried freshers day at the university (we do still get a few students attending games) Also fixture lists put up in many pubs, the biggest problem Is a lot of the pubs in town show live premier league games and people will sit in a pub and watch them instead of coming down to the axe,Again it seems to me that Friday's have to be given a go for home games what have we to lose,It may upset some traditionalist but I think the gates would improve lads who play on a Saturday, people who attend football league games would be able to watch even if we only get an extra 30 on the gate that could be £200 more than a Saturday.A night game would mean floodlights so an extra cost to be factored in.

well it has got to be worth a shot as i can see we are all passionate about our club and i think this could work as 1 of my mates will only come to giant axe as long as it does not clash with liverpool on t.v and another that will only come as long as it does not clash with man utd on t.v theres to many glory supporters in this area the pubs in lancs & morecambe are packed with premier league tv fans if only they came to support there local club

The person Sparrows Left peg mentions never ever pays. Why not allow 2 tickets per player at Concession rate instead of free tickets. Unfortunately sky have ruined it for non league football. Lets be honest most people would rather sit in the warmth of the pub and have a few beers these days. Friday would be no good as I think there is Premier League football on sky from next season. For some reason people in Lancaster Morecambe and the surrounding area's just don't like watching live football. Just over 1000 at Morecambe this week sums it up. What we need is somehow to get School Children watching. I starting going as a child and if you get interested you keep coming.

Well good job I read that twice before I came back with a response. 'That Sparrows Left Peg never pays !! lol. Yep I have a season ticket but yes it is correct the person mentioned never seems to pay. Also do we still allow free entry at Half Time because loads seem to appear that are not there when we kick-off. Is it the norm to let them in free or can we not charge them something, even if its a couple of quid.
