Player coach was Rob's description although he did take the warm up yesterday
I'm sorry that Garry has gone & that leaves very big shoes for Chris Churchman to fill. Garry was outstanding in his first season with us & although I personally feel that he had dropped off from that level this season he was still an outstanding player
Can Kendull afford yet another player on that kind of money? ? I can see financial problems ahead for them unless they have some kind of sugar daddy bankrolling them

Before sparrows left peg starts let me explain my thinking, As a contracted player Garry Hunter would want his contract paying up or at least some settlement so how does paying X amount of money to a player no longer at the club free money up for new players, just a thought !!

Thanks for mentioning me in despatches Prestondolly, much appreciated. Don't know what ur beef is this time but it's the first post you've made without mentioning the reserves !! All I know is the email I've been sent by Keith saying Garry Hunter has been released to free up funds for Rob Henry, Chris Churchman and two players from Kendal, who I don't know, though Aaron Halliwell did play for the reserves last week. A straight swap between Garry Hunter and Rob Henry would seem highly unlikely, no disrespect to Rob, so who we get from the Mintcakes, who knows ? I doubt if Garry was on a multi-million pound contract, so releasing him wouldn't be a problem and if he joins Kendal it wouldn't be a surprise as they tried to sign him before we did.

No beef, just making a point, I've give up pushing the reserves as it would seem they wo'nt get a chance whoever is in charge . I just hope letting An experienced player like Garry Hunter go do'snt backfire as I think city need experience now not Players from Squires gate & that's not being disrespectful to those lads .

Why are you writing us off, seven points off a playoff place and over two thirds of the season to go?

I thought Chris Churchman did okay yesterday, that wayward pass for their second goal aside, first game, new surroundings, new team-mates lets see how he does. Could be a blessing in disguise letting Hunter go. I think Winder,Taylor and Zach Clark were the three stand out players for me yesterday. Zach is the busy-body up front we need to feed off Aaron IMO. Ryan took his two goals brilliantly but what a goal that would have been from Joe Whittington if it had stood, I wasn't in line when the flag went up. I hear Kendal are adopting Blue shorts and socks next season !!

Indeed that's correct, seven points off the play offs with 90 points to play for, but surely the fact that we've only won three games out of 12 suggests we aren't good enough to make the play offs?janinfrance wrote:

At least not without an injection of new blood.
