Exactly. How the **** can people at the club talk about "building for the future"? If Phil acquires two strikers, who both score 15 goals by the end of February, we know damn well that they won't be at LCFC in March.sparrows left peg wrote:I would have expected him to stick around for more than 2 games, well not even that after he was subbed last night. When the announcement goes out that we've SIGNED a certain player, you presume exactly that. Why didn't it say 'We've got a player with us but he'll be gone when a bigger club in a better league comes along'

That applies to every player we have (we're not Real Madrid).

No, Real Madrid put players on a thing called a contract. We are no bigger than Marsh United {no disrespect} the way players come and go. How is the club supposed to move forward when our players are in the shop window for anybody that wants them, unfortunately Kendal seem to be the major benefactor.

Point being Lancaster are a club struggling to attract 150 people in the 8th tier of the English game in an area that can be described as a coldbed of the game. People seem to lose sight of that all too easily.
Churchman went to Macclesfield in the Conference who he had been training with, not Kendal. So lets not overreact.
Meanwhile Kendal and Lancaster are going to trade players back and forth whilst they are at the same level.

Remember that contract that stopped Connerton leaving to join Workington? That worked...
No club at this level puts all but their star players in contract, and players will go and play where the money is which is not Lancaster City.
Don't see what all the doom and gloom is about Churchman and the squad. Phil had been in the job a week. Give him a f*cking chance for f*cks sake!!
And if you all want Hunter back taking up nearly a fifth of our wage bill then fine. I don't.
edit: I added 1 "*" to each of the swears to chill people out

What's with the foul language mister LFC-LCFC ? This is a forum for people's opinion and it's frustrating to see our better players leave but no-one is having a go at Phil Brown, I certainly wasn't. Get your facts right before you start bad mouthing.

Agreed, you wouldn't think we'd get this sort of stuff from a club officer.sparrows left peg wrote:What's with the foul language mister LFC-LCFC
The fact of the matter is that we were in a better position nine years ago, (i.e. when we entered this crap league) than we are at the moment.
It's no wonder people are frustrated.

LFC-LCFC is spot on. Don't expect players to stick around with a higher offer. Yes, if two players score 15 each at the end of Feb, wave them goodbye. You should all have come to realise that is the game we are in. You wouldn't be moaning if we pulled someone up from the NWC who'd scored 20 in 15.
