Another Signing: Simon Wearing

Lancaster Guardian reporting we've signed young forward Simon Wearing from Morecambe's academy after he wasn't offered a deal at the Grim.

He scored over 60 goals for Highgrove U16s two years ago if that's any encouragement.

Although the Lancaster and Morecambe Service to Youth League is notoriously poo.

Wasn't when I played in it {early 80's} er... yeah it was !!

I managed to score three goals in that league one season so it must be shite

If a lad of 18/19 can score SIX goals in this league he'll do ok

the road since Adam was a lad. And vice-versa in the goldie-oldie days.

I'm sure there are some City boffins who can tell us this ? Did the two Marks,
Thornley and Shirley come straight from that shower or from other means ? Gary Dullaghan {RIP} was also a good signing but i'd agree Coleman made an immediate impact with {I think} about 13 goals in 12 games.
