Stalybridge last night.

Tight tense game , they may have though they deserved a draw but we haven't always got what we deserved this season so it should even out.
What was pleasing to see was the level of commitment from all the team it really meant something when we won. Last season they were whining
about our fans and this time their officials(?) were shouting abuse at one of our players after the full time whistle. Not sure what to make of Stalybridge as a club.

Most of the first half was pretty scrappy, but I thought that we grew into it & at times tried to play some good football, just like on Saturday. Ryan's header for the goal was a cracking finish, that of a striker, whcih we are sorely lacking without Blinkhorn playing. The effort & committment of the whole side were outstanding as we defended manfully towads the end. I agree that we seem to have an excellent team spirit, with eveyone giving their all. #COYDB

I thought that too many Stalybridge players had a touch of the thug about them, and I fail to see how we deserved four yellow cards to their two. In spite of their pressure towards the end and their multiple corners, Jack didn't have a single save to make. The goal was excellent in build up and execution: a superb ball from Rob Wilson to Duggy, a telling cross, and a brave and accomplished finish.
