Stalybridge

How we didn't come away with three points is completely beyond me. We dominated for most of the game, created loads of chances but couldn't finish. They scored from their only chance of the first half and were close to another in the second, but we were by far the better side throughout and deserved more than a point.
On a more disappointing note, I thought the Covid security arrangements there were appalling. Little or no stewarding allowed our all-singing all-dancing fans free rein to do just what they wanted. No social distancing, lots of singing and shouting, which is fine in normal circumstances but not in the current climate. They need to read the code of behaviour on the club website, because if that continues there won't be much more football to watch. As one who is in the vulnerable category, it was really disheartening to watch. I'm sure the players appreciate this level of support, but let's get real and try to get back to some kind of normality by observing the rules. We are already in danger of greater restrictions, so let's not give the authorities the excuse to stop football altogether.

Hardly likely, Mr. Doom.

Maybe, but if 20 or so fans are shouting, singing and not socially distancing, it's surely not surprising the number of infections is increasing? Why do you think the police were not happy with the lack of social distancing on Tuesday night? So, surprise, surprise, our crowd limit is reduced to 200. Do these people want to watch football or not?

That's what I thought, but you need some lessons in both.

I could teach you how to socially distance, but I'd be wasting my time.
