Coach to Burscough? (New Years)
5/12/2013, 17:08
This is an early one. New Years Day we're away to Burscough and despite it being very easy to get to by train it costs £15 return whilst a coach would only be £10, maybe cheaper if there's enough people on it, so thought it might be an idea to see if people are interested?
Obviously with it being an expensive time of year, it would just be a way of helping people save some pennies and also alleviate any train related stresses etc.
Depends on demand, which seems to be have dwindled in recent months

By the way, how reliable would trains be on New Year's Day?

Probably depends on the weatherBrocker wrote:By the way, how reliable would trains be on New Year's Day?
We'd need 20 people at least to run the coach.

Relatively normal service. No engineering work affecting trains to and from Burscough.Brocker wrote:I was wondering about Bank Holiday timetables.Brocker wrote:By the way, how reliable would trains be on New Year's Day?

Thanks. I will still think in terms of the coach, if there is one.

Nope. Will ask people I see tomorrow and see if we can get enough names to run a small coach. Can't charge more than £10 for such a short trip so we'll need at least 17/18 people I believe to run a 25 seater.
I'll have a definite answer at full time tomorrow

There IS a coach to Burscough!
£10 return. Not sure of time just yet but it'll somewhere around 1pm leaving the Axe.
Will put something on the website now, book in the usual ways!
