Fans Game

One of our supporters has for some reason arranged a game against the fans of a certain team from over the river!!!

If we can get a team together it will be 21.9.13 at salt ayre 12 noon.

Any takers?

Can't play as that's a Saturday, why would anyone in their right mind arrange it on a Saturday?!

I agree, I've already told them that! It's because both teams at home.

Make it 10am and I'm there. Early start's the way to go.

I've been directed to this forum. Idea is to have a fans game on the Saturday before both respective teams play their league games on 21/09/13, following a challenge from one of your fans. No pitch booked yet, time can be brought forward to suit... If you can get a team sorted the earlier the KO time the easier it will be to book a pitch I'd imagine.

I've been informed that you guys won't have a kit to play in..... You can borrow a yellow Shrimps kit off us if you want

Basically the sooner I get confirmation that you have a team, the sooner I can get the ball rolling. Ideally your team needs to be made up from players who watch City. There will be a ref.

My team has had a couple of games against another set of Shrimps fans, and we've won them both... Hence where the challenge came from I guess. Neil Wainwright played in one of the games against us and is still fairly handy. Im sure he would relish the chance to pull on a yellow Morecambe shirt again... If you ask him nicely.

I'm sure we all have blue shirts we can adorn. If we can be done for 12/12.30 I'd be up for it because I play at 2pm.

The point of arranging a fixture was to give people a game that can't normally play because they're watching The Shrimps/Dollies instead. It's a bit crap that many people have to give up playing local footy to watch their local side (and vice versa) because both clash with one another

Hopefully you can get 14/15 lads together (ability not all that important) who fancy this and will be going to the City vs. Radcliffe Borough game. All of my team will be heading to the Globe afterwards; if they aren't then they won't be playing. I've been told by that you have 8 or so, so not far off at the moment just need a few more. I'm just waiting on the nod from your end then I'll get it sorted.
