2 clean sheets in a row....just about.
Had to really grind that one out. We were second best in the first half but just managed to claw back in the second half. Macca's two saves were vital for us. Could have lost otherwise.
Disappointing performance against a very very poor Ossett side but that said, we played poor and still won which is in itself very encouraging.
The unbeaten run continues. Now up to 8th in the table. Never mind how many games we've played, others will drop points. We just need to keep winning.

Ryan played as well as anyone else but central midfield is surely not his best position. Rob Wilson on the other hand is a natural central midfielder, yet he was playing wide on one side or the other. Why?

Heard some rumour-mill news this afternoon that Kendal have put 7 days on Darren Green. Anybody ?? Hope that's all it is, a rumour. Thought they were at Death's door a few week's back.
On the game, very disappointing against a poor outfit. We could have been 2-0 down at H-T if it wasn't for D-Mac. The second save was outstanding. We couldn't put anything together going forward today but on that pitch it's hard to play good football. But 3 points none the less and the run continues, all we can do is pick up as many points as we can and see where it takes us.

Grim watching today, but we got the result, which was largely due to two top class saves from Danny Mac,& some wonderful work to set up Dodger's header from Daz Green.
I thought that we looked much better after the introduction of Gav Clark & Aaron Taylor. I think the the central midfield pairing of Wills/Elderton doesnt work.Scholsey wanders all over the place & while Ryan has ,most of the assets required (tackling, passing) he doesnt have the positional awareness,& this is amplified when teamed with Wills' wanderlust.I cant help that think that this would be exploited when playing against a good side

I don't necessarily think that Ryan is the main issue with the midfield. I just don't think Simon Wills is very good.
The back 4 looks better with Gregson and Winters central, and Marshy at left back so its not like there is pressing need to tell Ryan he is a defender again either.

Last season the final play off place required 79 points. If we win all our remaining games we can reach 81.
Twelve wins and a draw anyone?

No, but left midfield might suit him better, with Wilson in the middle. Agreed that Wills had a very poor game.
