Including an interesting name at Barrow no. 17 - I didn't realise he had left us.

Its not unusual for Swarbrick to play for Barrow in pre-season, geography is perfect, the trouble for him is they are always too high up the divisions.

I think he could be a good player with other decent players around him. The trouble last season was that our midfield was poor and Swabba tried to do everything, and it didn't work very often. But with Mahoney and Hunter supplying him he could work a lot better than, say, Kilifin.

Although he was only with us a few weeks, James Short now at Warrington Town. They're got one heck of a squad.

Didn't stop Fylde destroying em 7-0 on their own patch.

Shame. Heard he got invited back to the Axe and said no.

This may be the wrong thread, but is Rory Winters still with us? He didn't play any pre-season games and the last I heard he was coming back from Canada at the end of July.
