Thought we played very well on an atrocious pitch. Created a lot of clear cut chances but only put the one away but some fantastic saves from their keeper kept the scoreline at 1-0. Defended very well and Hale only have one save to make of memory.
With Jacko gone Kilifin partnered Connerton up front. Both had a number of chances and we certainly looked more dangerous going forward. Without Killer on the left wing though we offered little from the flanks except the odd burst from Winder.
Clark played left wing today with Elderton left back. I'd be tempted to swap them round.

So this presumably confirms the remark made on the other thread?
Jacko gone, Scholesie gone, anyone coming in or are we hoping the likes of Taylor and Wearing can fill the gaps?
Not a lot on Twitter today but thankfully the Burscough Twitter was alive and well!

If Jacko has gone it's blow but not all doom and gloom. We can have a Lancaster-born front two of Killer and Connie, both of whom can be lethal in front of goal. It's a couple of wingers we could do with.

Yep it has always been about the wingers/attacking midfielders for me. If you have that quality supply, or the ability to beat a man and create the overload you have a chance. As it stands Connerton, Kilifin, Taylor, Wearing is not bad in terms of up front, where the difference could be made in the squad is in the supply. But those players don't grow on trees, and its hard when you have a limited budget.
