Is that Aaron Taylor? Confusing, if so, as LG reports his signing for Garstang. Or has Alex Taylor returned? (Graham Taylor 90s? Mickey Taylor 70s?) . Power to his boots, whoever he is!!

Second goal definitely Wills and winner Aaron Taylor. Should have been out of sight by half time but struggled in the second half as Laird upped their game. Deserved a point at least but nicked all three at the death, just as we did at Warrington. Swabba apparently still with us but not in squad today.

Started the game fantastically well and could have been 3-0 up after 10 minutes. Second half we didn't create anything of note until the final minute. Caught offside too many times as we sat deep and held on to the lead.
Their second was a shot from distance that deflected off the heel of Steel and just beat Hale before Taylor (nice to have options from the bench again!) scored a great last minute winner.
Now to the ugly bits...the three red card tackles by Cammell Laird, the sort of tackles you usually only see in Sunday League. The referee was, simply put, a train wreck who is unfit to referee at this level and a danger to the safety of players. Each tackle was worse than the last with everyone stunned the third two footed tackle, this time on Kilifin, only saw a yellow.
Unpleasant to watch those fouls. Amazingly both Kilifin (twice) and Wearing came out reasonably unscathed.
