Mossley 3-2

Created enough chances to win three games let alone one. Crap set of officials, another offside goal (we're getting used to it now) and crap finishing. We miss Steel. Mahoney made a difference when he came on and went up front and scored a cracking goal. Otherwise out of the two sides today we shaded it performance wise.

Their keeper was a disgrace for trying to make out that Wearing had stamped on him when there was no contact between the two. Referee an even bigger disgrace for actually booking Wearing for nothing.

Great food though.

First half defensive horror show cost us dearly, not to mention the numerous chances we missed. Should have benn two or three up before they even scored their first, then having got back into it at 2-1 gave a third away right on the stroke of half time. We battered them in the second half but again missed lots of chances. Agree we need Steel back or a suitable replacement if he's out for a while, but we also need to take our chances when they arrive. You can say the officiating was poor but that would have been irrelevant had we been more clinical in our finishing. We lost to a much inferior team and that hurts. We need to put that right in the league on Tuesday.
