Radcliffe Empty Radcliffe

I've started a new thread even though it looked like folk wanted to continue on a previous one 😁
First half we were pretty ordinary & Radcliffe not much better. Their goal came when our defence switched off & we were done by one long ball. Then the young keeper went off injured (broken collar bone I was told) & Glenn Steel went in goal. The statisticians in the crowd told me he was our 7th different goalkeeper this season, presumably Max Povey will be our 8th on Tuesday? We had one attempt on target in the first half,I wasn't at all confident about the second half.
Thankfully I was wrong. While we weren't outstanding,we were certainly the better side. Two goals in less than five minutes turned the game on its head & we didn't really look like being pulled back afterwards. They must be very disappointed that Glenn didn't have to make a single save. The young #9 from Preston looks a proper handful & while Reid is going to end up with more zeros than Jimmy Anderson,he has some nice touches & works hard.
Off the field,a great turnout from Radcliffe & a lot of noise created an enjoyable atmosphere. As mentioned elsewhere, the latest club match reports are excellent & a lot of credit should go to their composer

Totally agree about the quality of reporting. It's not often you read words like elucidate and epitomic in a football report!
