Points needed

New (old) poster, forgot account details and updated email since 2010! So new account, bet there’s a few of them hopefully.

So with wanting more posters we need more topics for debate,

So how many points needed to stay up? The perennial 40?

That's a very good question! We're four wins and a draw off 40 points if that is what'll be required. There seems to be a couple more sides being dragged into the mix at present. Can the likes of Marine & Mickleover continue their form & pull clear,or will they fall back into the fight? If that's the case maybe less points could be required?

It would appear that Saturday may not be an occasion to find one of those four wins.

With three going down I think more like 45 points to be safe

Impossible to say whether 40 pts would be enough, there are too many imponderables. North Ferriby look certain for the drop, probably Workington also, but the remaining place could be any one of half a dozen clubs, maybe even more.
On the plus side we have played all the top sides except Scarborough away (after Saturday) and if we can improve on home results then 50 pts would not be unrealistic

Our home form has been dismal,as have our performances against other sides involved in the relegation fight.

Exactly, which is what needs sorting from now on

We still have to play Nantwich and Farsley at home, as well as Warrington and Scarborough away, so if we assume, worse case scenario, no points there, that leaves 12 games to get to 40 or 45 points. We have gained 22 points in 15 games since the new management team arrived, so the signs are good, provided we can improve our home form.

As the scores stand at half time we have dropped back into the relegation places. On the positive side it seems that more & more teams are being drawn into the battle
