Gutted for the second time in two weeks. Gav for me was what this club was supposed to be about, local lad makes good, looking a permanent fixture for our future and then out of the blue he's gone because he wanted permanent football but couldn't be guaranteed it - that's an old chestnut that's been used regularly to say nothing if ever there was one.
We seem to be haemorrhaging good people just recently and it doesn't do anything for moral, if there is a problem that's destabilising things, whether it's to do with the team or the club itself, the sooner it gets sorted the better.

Bitterly disappointed to hear of Gav's departure. Thanks for everything, Gav--the loyalty, the commitment, the solid performances, and the goals, especially that screaming second equaliser at the death against Warrington: still my goal of the season.
