Bamber Bridge, Clitheroe, Ossett Albion, Radcliffe Borough and Mossley....though Ossett should have been relegated at least once. Bradford PA won the innaugral title with FC United going up with them. I think we beat FC Utd on the opening day. We finished 11th on 54 points. Yeah okay I looked some of it up but I remember the season clearly. Rossendale Utd, Woodley {Stockport} Sports. Newcastle Blue Star and Wakefield are now defunct though may have started up again under different names.

This may not belong on this thread, but I was wondering how we got to lift the trophy on Saturday. Did the powers that be know something we didn't about the outcome or was the trophy whisked by helicopter from Kendal at half time?

I believe the trophy would have travelled to whoever was top on the day.

Some leagues have two just in case of that scenario but I wondered that myself. Could this league afford two or a helicopter for that matter. I know Farsley were presented with the runners-up trophy last night.

We did indeed. It's in the office somewhere.

I think I remember Colwyn Bay lifting a trophy when they won the playoff final, so they must get something still.

Don't worry its not as big or supreme looking as ours...but they looked pleased with it, not something you set off to win mind.
