.....first against second next Saturday at the Axe! Big (yet another one!) Let's ty to get a big crowd down to suppot the Dollies!
Farsley play Colne on the same daye, Delly's tips to be our main challengers. What a afternoon in store, I can't wait!

Farsley certainly our main challengers at the moment: if they win their three games in hand they will displace us at the top.
Good to have the points in the bag though.

We struggle at home, though we tend to fair better against sides which try & play football against us which Trafford & Farsley certainly will.
As for getting a decent crowd on I think we'd do well to get many more than 200 on if we were in the champions league.

Fair point Gaz. We struggled to clear 300 in Conference North, and a good proportion of those were visiting supporters.gaz1889 wrote:We struggle at home, though we tend to fair better against sides which try & play football against us which Trafford & Farsley certainly will.

Actually, we are now doing better at home than away. Five wins and a draw from our last six games at the Axe, compared with a draw and two defeats in the last six away. With quite a few of the top sides due to come to the Axe, that should give us the edge. Hopefully we can improve our away from against the weaker teams, starting with Colne and Prescot next week.

That squad for Saturday's game is looking immense
Could be the strongest squad we've had in well over a decade.

A strong squad indeed, but not strong enough to win yesterday. A disappointing result but not a bad performance on the whole. Credit to Trafford, they didn't come to defend and it was a close affair . I always thought one goal would decide it with two strong defences, unfortunately they got the goal and then defended it well. We had the best chances in the first half and came really close on a couple of occasions but in the end it was not to be. However, we are still top and nine points from the next three winnable games should keep us well in the race. The game v Farsley now takes on even more significance I think.
