Somewhere in between. We're looking to make it regular.

Given that railway disruption kept me away from the game, thank you for this.

Excellent video, shows up what the eye doesn't see. I would have sworn it was Green who was brought down for the penalty, but I see it was Killer. Also feel, after watching, that Marshy was very fortunate not to see yellow or red after his rugby tackle on the bloke who fouled him. Can only assume that the ref, who I thought handled a difficult game well. felt that it would have been unfair given Prescot's intimidatory tactics.

Bloke who pushed Marshy over should have seen red not yellow in the letter of the law. Not allowed to raise your hands to an opponent or has that rule changed now ?

Not sure that was ever a law, perhaps being charitable to the media, guidance given by referees. As ever don't listen to what pundits say.

Interpretation of Law 12 wrote:
Violent conduct
A player is guilty of violent conduct if he uses excessive force or brutality
against an opponent when not challenging for the ball.
He is also guilty of violent conduct if he uses excessive force or brutality against
a team-mate, spectator, match official or any other person.
Violent conduct may occur either on the field of play or outside its boundaries,
whether the ball is in play or not.
Advantage should not be applied in situations involving violent conduct unless
there is a clear subsequent opportunity to score a goal. The referee must send
off the player guilty of violent conduct when the ball is next out of play.
Referees are reminded that violent conduct often leads to mass confrontation,
therefore they must try to avert this with active intervention.
A player, substitute or substituted player who is guilty of violent conduct must
be sent off.

So you could class it as excessive force although I'm not sure you could say he was in danger of injuring his opponent. I guess you could book him for unsporting behaviour which is probably what I would have done.
