The current supporters' bar is temporary and the St Johns' Ambulance "hut" will be no more soon. Hopefully this means things are moving in the right direction.

There is a long history of City Council hostility to our club, even before local government reorganisation. For instance, some councillors opposed the erection of floodlights. That is a bit of a "whopper" your Reverence. That decision was nothing to do with any Council. It was a decision for the Trustees of J B Christie who took the view that the covenant could be moved from one piece of land to another. It was decided in The High Court in London that it would have been the great man's will for this to happen.

Always happy to acknowledge a mistake. I wonder whether, with the benefit of hindsight, you still feel it was a good move?

Income streams 365 days a year or about 23 times a year at Christie. Excellent move.

No surprises there then, just what the town needs more student flats to join the endless list of student accomodation available. Having said that it wil lbe interesting to see if it actually ends up as student flats.
Anyway it's time to move on, there's lots of work to do and as another posting rightly said the First Aid hut will be on it's way pretty soon which will create the space for a future in ground development if and when.

Council have stated that even though planning permission in granted the covenant stating the land must be used to service the sports club remains.

Therefore the planning permission as it stands means nothing!

Does this mean only students who want to train and play for LCFC can be housed in these flats ?? (I think not)
