Salford game

Attendance was good, although the noise of the crowd was none-existent despite the increased numbers. Sign of the times maybe and that the belief has gone?
Certainly sad to see a stream of fans (probably those famous neutrals who will never see us play well) heading to the exit with more than 10 minutes to go. Our attendances are going to suffer at this rate if the performances are as far off the mark as it was today, which isn't good to be saying in November.
Absolute apathy around the club at the moment and today was just painful that we could be so easily outplayed by 10 men at home.
Bring on the Darlo

I dont believe that we had a single shot on target. No reflection on Taylor I hasten to point out, he was isolated, but we created nothing. On that showing we could've been outplayed by eight men,let alone ten

Dodger's shot would have been not only on target but in the net had it not been for that last ditch interception by the defender which deflected it over the bar. Also their keeper pushed a deflected effort around the post in the last minute. But it is certainly the case that we were way below par. How much effect is the Kilifin saga having on morale? Thanks a bunch, Stringy. You are certainly making a mess at your old club.alasher wrote:I dont believe that we had a single shot on target. There was a time when we used to play well against good opposition but let ourselves down against the weaker teams. This has completely changed, at least according to the evidence of recent home matches - convincing wins against Brighouse, Burscough, Clitheroe reserves, but not really got started against Spennymoor or Salford.
They played the off-side trap well which is always frustrating to watch as well as to play against, and we never really worked out how to cope with it. However, I thought Hunter had a good game.
