Comeback kings !

A brilliant 3-2 victory was snatched from the jaws of the desperation of a 2-0 half-time deficit. Lancaster were lucky to be only 2 down at half-time but the performance in the second half was a total transformation from the extreme mediocrity of the first half. Mr. Peacock's decision to bring on the outstanding Dodgson and the impressive Draycott was a master-stroke. Every player can be more than pleased with their work-rate, commitment and delivery in the second half.

totally agree/For any team to have a comeback and win the game is an achievement within itself, Also shows the teams fitness and resolve to do it in fine style.Certainly made the journey well worth while and I believe all the Dollies fans were over the moon.
Well done lads great performance.

Whether it was DP or TS or both, they certainly worked the oracle at half time. City were totally transformed in the second half, and deserved the points for a barnstorming performance. I only wish Dodger would cut out the kamikaze tackling.

Gutted I missed this one. Reminiscent of last season's second game at Warrington, where we overturned a 2-1 deficit with two goals in the last ten minutes. Who scored the winning goal that night? Tom Kilifin! We then drew the next two games, so hope we can improve on that next weekend. Looking good so far.

Second to every ball in the first half, tried to play football but quite simply got bullied a bit.
Woods did well on the ball in the first half but we weren't playing a game that suits him, putting Kilifin up there instead was correct. Thought taking Bailey off at half time was the wrong decision but that's why I'm not manager, because Draycott made a difference. Did lose the ball in some very bad areas though, but nothing came of it.
Just proves how important a bit of fortune can be in football, as we should have been more than 2 down and their defender decided to plant the ball in the bottom bin for us.
I'm sure Burscough would have been aware we would come out all guns blazing but that was something else. Quite glad they sat back as well and weren't that effective on, or seemingly bothered about, the counter.

Cant' remember the last time we came back from 2-0 down to win...was it Bacup Borough in the Lancs Cup back in 06? (some trivia memory for you right there...)
Two different teams in each half. Don't know whether it was the substitutions or a change of mindset that made the difference but the comeback was stunning. The equaliser and winner were both great goals.
Good craic on the supporters coach as well
Mike Hale MOTM!

Agree about Mike Hale. He kept us in it in the first half, and his calm handling snuffed out their threats in the second.LFC-LCFC wrote:Cant' remember the last time we came back from 2-0 down to win...was it Bacup Borough in the Lancs Cup back in 06? (some trivia memory for you right there...)
