Glenn Steel... (and the rest of yesterdays results)
17/8/2014, 11:53
He's made a huge impact in the Bamber Bridge defence...
...they only lost 7-1 at home yesterday to Droylsden
First Division North
Bamber Bridge 1-7 Droylsden
Brighouse Town 2-1 Radcliffe Borough
Darlington 1883 A-A Warrington Town
Harrogate Railway Athletic 5-5 Mossley
Lancaster City 3-0 Farsley AFC
New Mills 1-2 Burscough
Northwich Victoria 0-0 Kendal Town
Ossett Town 2-1 Clitheroe
Padiham 0-2 Spennymoor Town
Prescot Cables 0-0 Ossett Albion
Salford City 4-1 Scarborough Athletic
It also sounds like Warrington Town are going to be charged with failing to fulfill a fixture after refusing to carry on playing v Darlington when the ref was taken off injured. Mad man Shaun Reid claimed it was a health and safety risk because his players had cooled down The fact they were 2-0 down and their keeper was injured may have played a part as well.
What a clown that man is. The longer he stays at Warrington the better.

Doesn't one of the assistants normally take over?
But presumably that means they would have to find a substitute assistant from the crowd and there wasn't one available?

From what I can gather from Facebook and the Northern Echo, Apparently three qualified officials volunteered from the crowd, and Warrington refused them all as they weren't neutral, the two club secretaries then contacted the League who apparently confirmed that under League rules a match can continue with just two officials (presumably one linesman running the whole length of the pitch), and it seems to have been at this point that Reid claimed his players couldn't play on because they wouldn't be able to have a full warm up (match had been held up for about half an hour)
