Glen Steel

I see Neil Reynolds at Bamber Bridge is in today's LEP lauding the signing of Glen Steel. Do we know about this ? Have we been told ?

It didn't appear from the article to have been something which has only just happened. If that's the case, disappointing that we have to find out such news from sources other than our Club.

Totally agree.We never get anything from the club and have to rely on word of mouth.

If true, that's a massive blow as I thought DP had managed to keep all our key players together. Hardiker is decent but not a like-for-like replacement imo. Anyway, he won't be available every week because of work commitments. Is it true he's the only player we've signed thus far this summer ?

Hardikar has definitely signed, along with 12 other players for the moment with more to come in the next few weeks. None of the other 12 are new names.

I know we have a few trialists at the minute though who I hope we will see tomorrow. One is from Barbados

Steel's departure always seemed more likely than not after the mysterious rumours at the Brig away game and his strange absence from that game.   Let's hope Jacob Davis can fill the gap as he did so brilliantly in that game, and more than once since.
