REMIT
noun
ˈriːmɪt,rɪˈmɪt/
1.
BRIT.
the task or area of activity officially assigned to an individual or organization.
"the committee was becoming caught up in issues that did not fall within its remit"
The task given to the management team, not it's ambition.
The turnout was around 12 s/c members, out of a membership of 90 odd,& that 12 includes the committee.I think that is dismal by any standard. Comment not aimed at anyone, simply an assessment of numbers that turned up

Just one observation about goals scored; the management team are acutely conscious of this issue, not just for the obvious reasons - goals win games, goal difference, team confidence, happy supporters etc - but also because if we get into a comfortable lead mid way through the second half, they get the opportunity to 'blood' the youngsters, and get the squad players on for some competitive match time, in a relatively low-risk situation. Both Darren and George spent a lot of time talking this and associated issues through with us on Wednesday, and we couldn't fault their commitment to getting it right. The encouraging thing is that we continue to create chances, the frustration for the management team (and all the rest of us) is the relatively low proportion of those which get converted - and hence the reason for trying out some new options in the reserve game last Tuesday. See the Bulletin for more.
