Villa was Tuesday http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/results

To add to maclads reasons, you can add, the general recession, weather, and the game was relatively under the radar. However LFC-LCFC is right to highlight thats its concerning, however you dress it, it would have got a bigger crowd a year ago.

The usual story I suppose then about people not wanting to watch a losing team.

I suspect it's not only a losing team, but a team which is no longer playing the often thrilling football to which we have been accustomed over the last three years. To be honest, if Dollywatching wasn't in my blood, I would be pale thinking twice about turning up this season. Lancaster folk in general will soon find an excuse not to support the Dollies: unfortunately, this season we are providing them with excuses. pale

So it was! It was on TV, so looking back I presumed it was Monday Night Football. Still, I don't imagine that was what kept many away.

I have been watching nearly as long as Brocker and agree totally with what he says. I keep going as well but I am not really enjoying the games this season. This is probably with watching mainly exciting football the last 3 seasons. I am sure it has been as bad as this before several times and I remember when Raynor was here and that was as bad. Once people stop going it is very hard to get them back. They soon find other things to do on a Saturday. This season we are out of every cup and knocked out in the first round of them all apart from the FA cup when we won our only cup game. Where we are in the league the play offs are a long way off. I think we should save as much money as possible this season and make a big push next season then let the people of Lancaster see we mean business. The way we are playing at the moment anyone new coming down will only come the once. Just imagine if your 1st game was against Salford (FA Cup) Ramsbottom and the 2 games with Wakefield most would say never again. We need to start next season well get the games well advertised and use the back page of the Lancaster Guardian to let the people of Lancaster know we have a good side. This is only my opinion.

I was working, though I don't suppose a crowd of 73 would have prevented this thread.
