Curzon

This has been addressed previously in other threads, but hey ho.
We need to play our strongest team, we are unlikely to have anything else to play for this season (although I hope I am proved wrong). Cup runs are great for players and fans alike, a repeat of the Pressy Cup would go down quite nicely in this camp.

That's a good point, that I don't think many people are sure of. However, I think alot of us have found it easy to spot a bad tactical decision if we see one.
Obvious ones would be playing our best players out of position i.e. Eldy anywhere other than left back, playing Lead Boots (sympathise for him a little, but the fact is he's not good enough) and in my opinion, Stringy starting himself in the middle.

Positives - we only lost 1-0, against a strong team, even with four of our best players out through injury or suspension. The young lads in defence, though they made a lot of mistakes, still looked good from time to time (well, Fielding did). Marshy was strong as always - MOTM.
Negatives - we could easily have lost by several goals if Curzon had brought their shooting boots with them. The goal we conceded was apparently a bad mistake by the keeper (it's catching, or rather it's not catching). Our midfield consisted of a full-back, a winger who hardly featured at all and a centre-forward who frankly has never appeared to be any good in any position. Swabba and Dodger did their best and occasionally looked slightly threatening, but without any end product. Luke looked forlorn and was replaced at half-time. No composure at all - without Wilson and Clark we resemble a team of headless chickens.
Overall, yet again, rather depressing.

The positives are certainly getting harder to find as each game goes by!
Attendance 72. Says it all, regardless of what competition it is.

There were 11 ties in this competition and not one of them cracked the three-figure mark!LFC-LCFC wrote:

Since when did we gauge our attendance on how many Radcliffe and Harrogate get through their turnstiles?

It's not, but if you look at last season's attendances in the same competition (123 v Skem, 102 v Clitheroe, and 194 v Kendal) it still, and in recent years always has, received much more interest then just 70.
The year before in the same competition the attendances were 133 and 102 and in the Prezzy Cup the atts. were 166, 104, 102, 108, 314...
Never once dropped into double figures, let alone as low as 70.
