Seemed we were cruising to a rather dull and frustrating win until the 80th minute. Knew as soon as Swabba missed that open goal if we didn't score we wouldn't manage to hold on.

Bit better defensively today with Steel back, but still infuriatingly shoddy in front of goal. Attendance at 150 was crap as well.

Maybe because some of the football is dull maybe people won't come, we seem to have lost that lower league up and attitude of up and at em football for the new passing style, although there is nothing wrong with the passing style our build up is so slow, games tend to be predictable. Can'tsay I've seen an exciting game at the Axe this season
By the way Fylde only just got over 200 last night, so it's not just City that struggle with gates in midweek

Even though your comment carries some weight, I thought that the work-rate, attitude, commitment and overall performance from Simon W up-front was outstanding.

That's the television factor of the Manure "fans" who rarely miss a game from the comfort of their armchairs.

thought that through the injury situation we did ok but was lucky for the draw.We seem like goal starved as we could have put a few pst them with relatively easy chances that seem to just go amiss.I think we will come good soon and put some games down to our unlucky run.

1) It was cold
2) It was Bonfire Night, which when I was a kid was a thing, I presume it still is.
3) Champions League - and the Manchester clubs not the London ones

Clitheroe were pretty open and gave us space to play and we had chances to get the 2nd or 3rd. But no, the longer it stayed 1-0 it was inevitable that they would have a spell of pressure and that given our recent record against them they would probably score at least once, which they did.
The final 3rd we were pretty shocking in terms of both decision making and quality on the ball. If people think I have been harsh on Wills that is nothing compared to the rage I felt towards Swarbrick and that "attempt" on goal. If I was his manager he would have got the mother and father of all "hairdryers".

Entertainment wise, highlight of the game was surely Brocker's second half meltdown, personal favourites were the referee being a "fairy" for booking Marshy for scything down their player, and "dirty witches".

I think it was a night for meltdowns in spite of the cold.

Still don't know if he scored against 'the Wake' but please don't doubt the effect of the "Dolly Blue" front line.  Simon's a teenager and he's from the "Town" and he wants to play for his home team.  Keep going Si, I think that you're quality..

No one is doubting anyone. Si is popular with our supporters, as to be honest, are all our players
