That was what I thought. Thought he'd be going up rather than sideways! He should be playing in the Conference and higher. Looking at their other signings Vics are becoming a new AFC Fylde. Lot's of ex-City players and lots of £££. No fans though.

I raised this with Stuart Houghton, and Barry rang me to say that, whilst Daz Green had given his word that he would sign, he never actually did so. Danny likewise didn't sign, the story at the time being that he didn't know where he would be next year. Somehow, Vics are able to offer big money--I don't think I am being mean when I say I hope it all blows up in their faces.

I have been told that Darren G was offered a new contract, which he asked to be amended (which it was) but he then said that he wanted to delay signing it so he could play for some team in a cup semi-final (& then possibly the final) which he wouldn't have been able to do as a contracted player (it would make him ineligible) .Of course the delay has now become permanent.

He plays Sunday League Football in Preston, which probably explains why he always looks shagged out !

and I ain't assed what the speccys thought of me... many liked me... a cupul dint... I went because there was better muni... end of discussion... and the nob who sed wish it blows in our faces... that's jus bitter... give ya fat hed a wobble.
