Whitby

Anyone else a bit excited about tomorrow? I think Whitby at one time were a few people's tip as dark horses, but MF seemed to imply that they might struggle this season. I don't really look at who we're playing especially not before the first game. Later in the season I'll look at recent from & if a particular striker has scored say 10 goals in the first few games I'll have a look at him, but apart from that I'm generally fairly unaware of who we're playing.
That said I'm plumping for a 3 0 home win. Kilifin with 1 & Turner the other 2
I'll look back in the morning to see if anyone else has had a guess & tomorrow evening to see how many have panned my guess after the final whistle

Well I am going for a 2-1 win with goals from Dawson and Norris. But I hope your score is right and the goals in the first 5 minutes to settle nerves.
Yes MF did imply Whitby had problems but their friendly results look quite impressive.
I see Sam Ashton has signed for Radcliffe Borough. Cannot tell from the Club's site when we play them.

I feel like I've been stupidly optimistic after reading your answers

I would have predicted a win, but the reality was a different outcome. There was very little to actually get excited about apart from the free-kick in the last minute.

Thought we looked absolutely toothless. I was surprised at Charlie starting at #9 rather Killer. No width, but I guess when we were down to ten it was understandable although we did play well with ten men. We conceded s soft goal but looked quite solid after that. Officials were poor but probably of the standard we should expect. Did we bring a save from their keeper?

I think that the last minute free-kick was the only real effort.

I agree with all your comments. I was a little puzzled why Dawson was not given the freekick at the end as he had always seem to have a good success rate from that kind of position.
Was Norris taken off as he was injured? He did not seem too happy about it.
Anyway moving on and being optimistic I go for a 3-0 win away at Witton on Tuesday. Goals coming from midfield and whoever we get on loan!

A 2 1 away win for me. Although on Saturday's showing it'll take us until Xmas to score 2 goals.
I hope he can get a #9 in before Tuesday.
I had been meaning to mention that Chuck looked like an angry man on Saturday
