That & learning how to change nappies.I could give you lessons at a reasonable rate

My initial thought would be that the fans' fund & supporters club would be totally seperate entities & being a member of one wouldnt mean that you were automatically in the other,so everyone would need to pay a membership fee. However, now this thought is in the open, its another thing to discuss on Saturday

At the meeting on Sat' we need volunteers to fill these positions.
I can think of 4or5 already but do they want/able to do it!
Volunteers are what we will need most I think. Many hands make light work & all that.

Supporters Club

Having been in the 1970's version of the club at the start we just started with six people. Membership was just one fee, and working in a professional association it does make it easier to keep it to one fee. Officers look a good idea .. President / board rep; Chair, Deputy, Secretary , & Treasuer.
We also ran the club shop from a caravan where the current toliets are by the diner. Away travel was arranged for a some FA Cup ties ... Evenwood, Fleetwood and Rossendale all come to mind. Also other fund raisers were a summer gala, raffles and a cheese and wine evening.
I'd be interested in being in again, I did join the one that was started in the 2000's. Only thing I can remember from that was membership and a label badge.
Hope this helps. Can't be there on Saturday as I'm away.

Membership would mean you would have to sell cookies once a year and take part in bob-a-job week. You would also have to learn the special handshake.

The Supporters' Club will have representation on the board, meaning members would have a direct voice on the club.

It would seem that the general opinion is that fans' fund members should have free/reduced rate membership of the supporters club (although this is still to be dicussed & decided).Something to talk/argue about on Saturday

Around 25 people attended Saturday's meeting.Keith Winder was installed as General Sec,Elaine Heron as Membership Sec & Steve Wright as Treasurer. This was achieved basically through these people volunteering & noone voicing any objections on the day. There will be another meeting before the Camel Laird game, again in the Vic,@1.30pm. At this meeting we intend to elect a President, who we hope will represent the SC at board meetings. This will be done by the people present next Saturday voting for any of the people nominated at the meeting. This was left until next week to allow potential nominators to consult their nominees to get their approval/acceptance.If anyone wishes to be nominated they will have to attend (with a person to nominate them) If you wish to nominate anyone, please make sure that you check that they are happy to be nominated before the meeting commences ( we dont want anyone "ambushing" & accepting a nomination without having nad time to consider it properly)
Please attend if at all possible! The more the merrier.....& hopefully more successful!
