I'd have Gav Clark back in a heartbeat. And Mercer.
Feels like since we were promoted the squad has gone progressively backwards.

Strangely enough on the anniversary of his heroics against Warrington, Gav scored the winner for Kendal against Skelmersdale.

Doubt it with the east/west split.

.....Also in that Ossett will probably go up.......And so back to vital matters on the bright side (I wasn't there so there can be one!) we kept a clean sheet for 88 minutes and by what accounts I've seen should have been 90 min but on the down side we didn't score! Where's Blinkhorn injured or has he done a runner! But I just have to hope that one of you will say the defence looked solid and we hit the Bar/post/goalkeeper 20 times and we wuz robbed! but I would be happy if there was just some cause for optimism I suppose

We were the better team, and dominated territory although we didn't create many clear cut chances. Looking at Marine's early league position that doesn't necessarily say a great deal but it is something. I thought Russell looked good, and the midfield in general. Fletcher was good up front, but Baker went off injured early and his replacement Charlie Bailey got in some good positions but end product was poor. Dugdale as ever good down the left. Playing 3 at the back made us a look a bit more solid I suppose (still not convinced by Stanley defensively) but its all relative, still vulnerable at set pieces as the goal showed.
Blinkhorn is injured.

Certainly an improvement from Tuesday,as Jan says we did look more solid defensively. Awful marking at set pieces though. Charlie did well, he & Baker played closer to Fletcher who I rate highly, the best loan player we've had. I trust Jan's judgement but I'd play Winder instead of Russell. We need more from the midfield,I thought Rob Wilson played well but there was no end product.
It's meaningless, but the ball didn't cross the line when the linesman gave their goal. Even if it did there were too many people in the way for him to be 100% certain. Thought the ref had a good game though
