Players don't get "eased" back in though. As soon as they are fit again they are thrown back in despite having not played for weeks yet players like Killer etc get the odd start, don't score in a defeat then get dropped again.

At least we can't complain about the manager settling for players he doesn't deem up to par with the outgoings of Cheetham and Wood.

Gav is a real shame to lose, he's been a fantastic servant to the club. Welcome back any time for me, playing or otherwise.

To be honest we shouldn't have got into the position of losing a player who probably didn't really want to leave, if indeed he has.

Phil Brown's signings this season are proving to be hit or miss. Oliver Wood, Scott Harries and Chris Cheetham have all gone without making much of a impact while Sam Hibbert wasn't here long enough to judge. Paul Jarvis hasn't hit the heights yet but hopefully will get better. On the plus side, Sam Bailey and Paul Dugdale have been excellent signings along with Charlie Bailey, who has impressed when he has been given the chance with some superb goals. Steve Williams has been possibly the pick of the bunch but a young lad, stumbled upon literally by accident, has to be the find of the season and that's Josh Powell, forcing Cheetham' exit is living proof. BTW has Josh Westwood joined the band of departures and has Louis Mayers finished with us as well ? All this IMO by the way.

There is nothing on the Kendal site or message boards about Gavin. They have signed 2 loan players from Morecambe. Hope he hasn't gone because before his injury he was playing really well. He played only last Tuesday against Nantwich
