Through to the semis! Empty Through to the semis!

Wasn't a classic game, but the work rate that wasn't there against Mossley got us through in the end. Two great finishes in an otherwise forgettable game.

Colne, Chorley and Padiham in the draw. Knowing our look we'll get Chorley...but so close to the Macron! Shocked

Carney and Kilifin couldn't play tonight as they weren't registered by the date of the original fixture. Looking forward to Saturday Very Happy

You're right, it wasn't a very good game. There would still seem to be plenty for Phil to work on, including both fullback positions. We did show some real resilience (but also needed some luck) in keeping a clean sheet. The two goals were top quality, but apart from them there was only really one more moment to get too excited about. Hopefully with new players coming in/being available we will continue to improve. I'll be interested to see how the new signings are fitted into the side & who makes way for them
After the "new manger bounce" the hard work had begun I think

In a sense, it was like a first game of the season, with players needing to become reacquainted after a break. We can just hope that the second half may have given the lads some momentum to take into the League programme.

First half poor and mostly dull, but the second half had a bit more life to it and we were well on top. As all agree, two excellent goals. Ryan Winder gave a classy performance in the second half - I'm looking forward to seeing how he combines with Craig Carney.

One of the most memorable events was when four balls were hoofed back from the housing estate. When that is a memorable feature you know that the game wasn't that great.

It was the elevation somebody got on those balls: the answer to England's Rugby Union problems, perhaps Very Happy
