They played in yellow too, so for about the first 20 mins of the game myself & Olive found ourselves watching the wrong team. All very confusing.

Ground out a result tonight. Never pretty, but typical tough cup tie. Reece's shot which pinged off the post, hit the keeper and rebounded into the net, separated the sides. Sublime shot by Garry on the stroke of half time came back off the post: that could have made for a more peaceful second half. Marske not happy with the referee who turned down a very strong penalty claim, then cautioned No 2 for dissent, and later sent him off for a fairly innocuous foul on Joe, who had come in for some rough treatment earlier more deserving of red cards. Shaq impressed again: Gav Clark did well in midfield in the continuing absence of Billy: Tayls held the ball up well: Joe my MoM. Great turn out of visiting fans., who, if game had been played Bank Holiday afternoon, would have been spared a late night journey home.

Yep it was a tense old night but I thought we deserved to go through. We passed the ball about superbly at times, Tayls up front gave a masterclass of how to hold the ball up and bring others into the game but Shaquille at rignt back continues to take the eye. Good to see Danny Carlton get on but why sing We hate Morecambe when he runs on... FFS..we have Taylor and Hunter already playing in the same team. Ok we all hate Morecambe but he's got a blue shirt on now....make the fella feel welcome. On to Padiham where we must fancy our chances but you never know.

Decent performance in parts should have won the game by half time impressed with the young winger Whittington, thought they had a nailed on penalty at the end and every credit to their support for travelling a fair distance on a Tuesday night.
