D1N 2015/16

Our league for the coming season:
Bamber Bridge
Brighouse Town
Burscough
Clitheroe
Droylsden
Farsley AFC
Glossop North End
Harrogate Railway Athletic
Kendal Town
Lancaster City
Mossley
New Mills
Northwich Victoria
Ossett Albion
Ossett Town
Prescot Cables
Radcliffe Borough
Scarborough Athletic
Spennymoor Town
Trafford
Warrington Town
Witton Albion
The first thing that I thought about as soon as Darlo joined Saflord in the Prem was that this season should be our best chance in years for promotion. Having said that, those were our thoughts in 2011/12 and then the next season under Str**gy and Wa**y when there were no "big" teams in the league.
The most obvious prediction would be that Spennymoor will be favourites for the title, possibly challenged by Scarborough. Other than that, anything like our post-Christmas form should see us right up there.

Yep Spennymoor, Scarborough, plus Bamber Bridge have been nearly men 2 years running, Warrington may well have FA Cup money to spend, Witton were very good last time they were at this level but there have been lots of changes since then, Northwich and Droylsden may have a punchers chance as well.

We've never met Glossop NE in the NPL before. Our last league meetings would have been in the NWCL back in the eighties.

Feel bad for Padiham. The first team to actually get relegated from this division in what seems like years!
Just a shame they didn't have a director on the league committee like Marine. Probably would have stayed up then! (Shhhhh)

Not much likelihood of a decent gate from any of those, so we are going to need a decent Cup run. I hear that the greedy FA are reducing FA Cup and Trophy pay-outs.
