Well, since you mention it, my "unofficial" thoughts on the matter are as follows........I'd begin by taking one of those trusty south east asian island hopping ferries to Bangkok or somewhere. Bus picks up there, head through Thailand, Burma & India, onwards through Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq & Syria ( no cans on this leg of the journey) to Calais. Quick hop across the channel then I think M20, M25, M1 & M6 to J34.......piece of piss. That's what I'm gonna suggest to Kirkby Lonsdale Coaches anyway........unless anyone has experience of this route & wishes to add advice where problems may occur?
