Can confirm, game OFF, apparently due to a waterlogged pitch.

One of our supporters who is already up there took a picture of the pitch at 10am this morning. No rain forecast for today either!

Evostik League website has a picture of a very waterlogged ground alongside details of our postponed game. However, it may well not be the ground in question. I think it may be their default photo to show us dimwits what a waterlogged pitch looks like. Smile

So of 27 games in the Evostik League, ours was the only one with a waterlogged pitch. How strange.

Left bishop at midday on Sunday still not rained for 24 hrs how have they got away with calling the game off, it seems like we have just accepted this . Please believe me when I say the pitch was playable at 1030 Saturday morning .4 hours later it was even better, hope the league look into this as this was a real pi@@ take, only suspension and injuries called this game off yet nothing is being said.we were out in bishop on Saturday night I talked to several darlo fans who laughed and said the game was off on Wednesday when they all knew about there injuries and suspensions.

I drove to Atherton years ago and the game there was called off. I got inside the ground and so did a few others from Lancaster and the pitch was totally playable. I was soon told to leave the ground. Darlington should be deducted points for this if the pitch was playable.

Same thing happened a few years ago away at Rossendale United. Me and my dad drove up. Walked around Rossendale for an hour on a very mild Saturday, turned back up at the ground just before 3pm to find is deserted and a man there to tell us the pitch was frozen! It was about 10 degrees by that point.

When we did eventually play them we won 5-2 I believe (the same night as the Garforth v Halifax game).

I'm glad as a club we do everything we can to get every game on, regardless of injuries, suspensions or who we are playing!
