What truth that Bamber Bridge are to be removed from the cup for playing a cup tied Rowan Roach in their semi final?

What have you heard? Where from? Did he play for us in an earlier round?

He did indeed play for us in the 1st round v Squires Gate. Don't know what the rules
are, though. Presumably, if Brig are expelled,we'll play Prestwich in the final.

According to this week's s/c newsletter, the Brig manager expects them to be expelled from the competition.

Yes the game may not be played for a while.
The mention of Prestwich Heys brings back memories of when they had a successful spell (late 60s?) and vied with us at the top of the Lancashire Combination. Odd what you remember but I went on the coach to the match at their ground and every time they scored they ley off a rocket to let the locals know! From memory we lost something like 3-1.
They were managed by Pater Gilmore who went onto manage us and brought some good players with him.

Now that  Brig's expulsion is official, the question is: will we be playing the final, and if so, when? From the report in the Guardian, it would appear that Brig were unaware that Roache had played in a previous round, but I could have told them that. It surely couldn't have been that hard to find out.
