Vics

I can't be the only one looking forward to this can I?
I'll be in the sponsors' box this afternoon & am curious to see what the game will look like from a totally different vantage point (&through the bottom of a beer glass )
It'll be interesting to see how we fare this time round against one of the two title contenders. Have we improved significantly since one of PB's earliest games as manager?
It's a game we need to get something from if we are to maintain a play-off push. Is a draw enough? Do we need to win?

Cracking second half performance from the lads.To be fair, City had probably the bulk of first half possession, but couldn't make it pay. Caught by a swift counter attack for Vics' first, then some lovely approach play at times. Billy seemed certain to equalise, but the defender reacted remarkably quickly to get a leg in the way. Caught again as we failed to clear a corner. Offside decision against Killer must have been tight: Vics weren't claiming. Billy sliding in among the boots to score before half time was crucial.
I felt that we were the better side in the second half. Ryan's cross for Billy's second was inch perfect. Again the class of Craig Carney and Killer was in evidence. But what do they feed them on in Northwich? It seems you have to be eight feet tall to qualify to play for Vics.

A very fair report (though with some players misidentified) and manager's interview on the Vics website.
