Excellent result today. Good second half performance and a clean sheet at last.I thought the new signings all did well. I also thought our goal was scored by Joe Whittington but it was in the middle of a crowd of players and difficult to tell.

It's hard to judge that game as Witton's form has been so up and down recently.

Still, never looked like we'd lose. Always looked the more likely to win and probably just about deserved it on chances created...in that we had two chances to their one.

Watson, Mercer and Russell all performed well in a difficult game for us without any recognised strikers. Both sides played with just one striker up top, so the majority of the game was a dull midfield slog.

Why didn't Aaron Taylor play? Is he injured, or is it to do with this Workington business?

The possibility of Aaron leaving makes it imperative that we sign a goal scorer given that we played without a recognised front man on Saturday

He came off injured after about 10 minutes of the Clitheroe game, so I imagine that's why he didn't play yesterday.
