City 3-0 Farsley

Quality display from the lads today! All the preseason worries blown away. Created enough chances to score 6 or 7, clinical enough to win comfortably. Only routine saves from Hale.
Kilifin class as ever. Fantastic finish from Taylor for his goal and several others unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, Woods in particular. Attendance 224 quite good for an opening game. I think the first home game we had last season was 180ish?
Looking forward to Burscough already

Lets hope that Farsley team was as good as last years! If so, I seen no problem with us reaching the playoffs!

Tremendous workrate and flowing football: really good to watch.
Looking at other results, who would have predicted the Brig v Droylsden scoreline after D's performances last season?

I'd have him in my team any day of the week.
It's a game of opinions!

Much better than average all round performance yesterday! Lots & lots of positives. We created numerous chances & although we missed a few, the second & third goals were good finishes, the third being particularly outstanding.....a very early contender of goal of the season in my opinion. The only worry was the number of chances that Farsley were able to create (their number nine could easily have scored a hat trick) but more than enough good passing & movement for the coaching staff to work with. When Garry Hunter is fit we will have an excellent midfield & if Aaaron Taylor's fitness continues to improve as it seems to have over the summer we will have a front line to worry any defence in this division.
As for Mr Green, he would get in any side in this division or the one above on his day. The only problem with that being that he didnt have anywhere near enough "days"

. . . . . . . . and he was only up for giving one of those 'days' if the "munni" was right - which, in this Division, it rarely is !!
