Yes he was playing, in fact he made Kilifin's first goal, playing his part in an excellent build up.

A mad game as there weren't any goals scored for about 20 minutes then City scored two in two before Rob Bordman got in on the act with a class goal. Danny Mahoney then crashed a rebound off the bar into the net before Bordman scored again with a free kick from outside the box. So 2-3 and Wakefield had a chance to equalise but headed straight at Hale as a home fan stood close by was shouting "equaliser"! We scored two more before half time but when Steel dropped a clanger soon into the second half you got the impression that we could still throw it away. Fortunately the same player scored just a minute or two later and then came the Kilifin hat trick, separated by another goal for the home side.

So goals at last albeit against a side that's conceded well over 50 goals so far this season but Darren Peacock as a former defender will be disappointed we conceded so many. Next week we play a team even worse than Wakefield, hopefully we can improve our goal difference again,

Hale
Henry/Steel/Marshall/Clark
Winder/Wills/Walker/Kilifin
Mahoney/Wearing

Think the subs were Thompson, Akrigg and Hudson

So no Hunter, Elderton, Swarbrick and Jackson, so a good effort.
