See how well we are doing when we can put our bext X1 out there. Apparently
Garry Hunter was supposed to get a run out last night but a stomach bug at the last minute kept him out.

It is probably true to say that DP has never been able to put out his first choice XI since the season began. Only three times has the same eleven started consecutive matches: in the first two pairs, Rob Henry was missing, while in the third pair Glen Steel and Ryan Elderton were both missing, while Rob lasted about five minutes of the second game. Scholesy said last night he thinks he is a fortnight away from returning.sparrows left peg wrote:See how well we are doing when we can put our bext X1 out there. Apparently

As the "twit" performed dismally, what as the team?
I saw mention in the Brig programme of "entering the transfer market" Will we need to sign eleven?

Good job there was a few Nelson fans there last night to boost the attendance.
When a team is not winning at home that is when attendances fall away. We have had no gates anywhere near 200 since the Darlington game. At away games we have 1/4 of our fans there not many teams can say that. The games up to and including New Years Day will decide where we end up this season. If we are still in the top 5 at 1700 on New years day we should have a good chance of a play off place. Hopefully Ryan's 3 match ban in vital games will not affect us. If we get promotion at the end of the season we will all agree it was best to be out of all the cups before December. The two times we had no midweek match we managed to win all 4 games on the Saturday earlier in the season. We have played 9 midweek games on the trot which takes a lot out of a small squad so apart from the Christmas period it will be mainly one game a week. This will give time for Darren to work on finishing and playing the right final ball into the box to create more chances.

McDonald (sent off, whereupon Millar replaced Mahoney)alasher wrote:As the "twit" performed dismally, what as the team?

Henry, Parkinson, Hudson, Elderton
Winder, Akrigg, Mahoney, Kilifin
Jackson
Swarbrick.
Moffat and Donnelly came on for Jacko and Akrigg, but I don't remember in what order. I think they were looking for you to come on at one stage.
