S’Bridge

At what point should we start to be concerned? We’re not performing at the moment, created nothing today and couldn’t argue if we lost 3-0. Club are in a great position but form has nosedived. I think there needs to be an update on whether Felly will come back, the jungle drums going round are that it’s fairly serious. Some decisive action from the board may be required to ensure the club don’t let this great position slip, if that includes installing a new manager then so be it.

I think the loss of Jack Armer is massive. He had us playing on the front foot and always gave the opposition defence something to worry about.
His distribution out of defence as well was so accurate and we have now lost that.
Obviously this has coincided with Marks illness which has been a double wammy.

What's worrying is the goals drying up. One goal in the last three games, and that was a penalty. We seem to be fairly solid defensively, having only conceded a penalty in those three games. Didn't go yesterday, but by all accounts we didn't create much. We've now missed three opportunities to go top and teams below us have games in hand, so getting back to winning ways is pretty urgent. A good opportunity in the next two games against teams at the wrong end of the table.

Fell was in the Sponsors’ Lounge yesterday.
I don’t think yesterday was much to worry about. Looks worse because it’s within this run of 2 points in 4 games.
Stalybridge have been flying and were a good side. Didn’t let anything through, didn’t allow us to do much more than be direct.
They looked dangerous going forward and we, the behemoth that is Glenn Steel in particular, responded well.
Young lad from Morecambe did well, made a couple of errors only really brought on by over enthusiasm and willingness to get to the ball.

We have also lost Williams as well as Armer so that is 2 players playing regularly suddenly gone. The squad is still strong so hopefully we will get back to winning games

A much better performance yesterday, albeit against a poor Stafford side who gifted us all three goals. Even with ten men we never really looked in trouble. Very solid in defence and a constant danger going forward. Good to see two strikers scoring for a change and an impressive display from the new lad Bakare. Another three points on Boxing Day and we'll be back on track.
